I am LMAO! He is soooooo cute! But it is that cuteness that will get him in trouble in the long run, if we allow it to make us forget discipline. Kudos to Griffin's family for remembering to forget the cuteness long enough to implement a time out.
He has seen time out almost everyday lately...he is still the best boy 99% of the time:) It is easy to give him time out when he is screaming and trying to hit me...harder when he tries to give me a kiss when he knows he did something bad:)
Amanda this is too funny, awesome but hilarious! Griffin is definitely the cutest little guy and it would be so hard to not give in when he's trying to make up for doing wrong... I'd cave!
I hope your granddaughter has a speedy recovery and how could a grandparent not rescue their precious grandchild from this confinement? I sure hope that my son and his wife never find anything like this, I'll be stopping over way to often to check if my baby is in solitary confinement and spring her loose! :-)
I understand the parents perspective and know that it's to teach but we as grandparents can do whatever we choose to do. I'm learning this real fast, after all we're the parents! :-)
Dear LL...I dont know if you know this ...or not but Im a huge country fan....I love the Johnny Cash post...I had another one in my head the other day....George Jones "He Stopped Lovin Her Today".....
This blog has many elements and depending on your interests, may pique your imagination...or not. I urge you to be unreasonable. Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. The unreasonable persist in trying to adapt the world to themselves, therefore all progress depends on unreasonable people. The more unreasonable you are, the more likely you are to enjoy this blog. All men dream, but not equally.
If you're a socialist or a Marxist, you'll find that I poke fun at your absurd notions of "good government" on a regular basis. So you might not wish to follow this blog because you'll be offended.
John Locke said, "One unerring mark of the love of truth is not entertaining any proposition with greater assurance than the proofs it is built upon will warrant." I like what Locke said. We can't theorize without adequate information because when we do we inevitably twist facts to suit theories rather than theories to suit facts. In this blog and in my life, I try to maintain this perspective.
Either you believe in our essential spark of shared divinity, or you succumb to our human insecurity. Either way your conscience lets you slice it, the main thing is to earnestly do what is right at the time.
Today, I balance work and play as much as anyone can. All things remaining equal, play is more important. Life is short - it's important to make every day count for something, if only to yourself.
I'm a former tinker/tailor/soldier/sailor who has now decided that maybe it really wasn't all done for nothing.

:-D
Griffin's mom and dad sprung him. I don't know if the warden got wind of the file in the cake or not.
Cute kid, in or out of detention.

I'd cave immediately, Darlin, and fetch him an ice cream cone or something.
And at the same time, my granddaughter is quarantined with chicken pox, so I didn't see her this past weekend.
lol.. that is too cute :) I would have liked to have a play yard like that last year for camping.
