The Good Earth

On the Road in Colorado

I'm attending the fifth annual FJ Cruiser Summit in Ouray, CO. And I'm in bandwidth hell in terms of uploading. So you get what I am able to post.

Black Bear Pass was closed from
the Summit down into Telluride.

A sign suggesting that the road may be too
difficult to attempt is simply an invitation.

This is the Ophir Pass Summit. There were some
kids in our small group of FJ's on this particular run
and they immediately headed for it. It called them in
much the same way as a mud puddle would!

I can't imagine you turning away from a road labeled "rough and dangerous". :-)

It sounds like you're having a blast, and most definitely the sign was only there to challenge you... not because it was dangerous!

Opus - NEVER!

Darlin - That's a possibility. People from Colorado can be sly.

Wow, looks like you've been busy LL. Two things that we have in common:- firstly, looking at these pics, it feels like I'm looking at one of my guy friends weekend away pics - because this is exactly what some of them do for fun... and secondly, we also have a Bridal Falls (yours has the "Veil" in the middle) in the Mpumalanga Province. Hope you're having a fabulous time! Be safe :)
