I feel the love

The United States Government sent me an e-mail. Because it was unwanted, it's spam. My tax dollars at work. It makes me feel so -- loved -- to be getting ObamaCare spam.

The interesting part is that I not only never began to enroll for subsidized government healthcare, I never would. I realize that "never" is a dangerous word to use, but I'm using it here.

You qualify for the special enrollment period. You still need to apply before April 15.
If you were trying to enroll for 2014 coverage by the March 31 enrollment deadline and experienced system delays caused by heavy traffic, maintenance periods or other special situations that prevented you from finishing the process on time, we may still be able to help you get covered.

Finish Enrolling

If you haven’t done so already, complete your enrollment by April 15, 2014:
Log in to your online Marketplace application on and finish the enrollment process –

you’ll need to just confirm online that you were still trying to enroll on March 31.

Or contact the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596. The Call Center can help you complete your enrollment over the phone. TTY users should call 1-855-889-4325. Be sure to tell our customer service representative that you’ve been trying to enroll.Don’t miss out on the health coverage you need.

The Bodyguard

The theme song to the 1992 feature film, The Bodyguard, was the highest grossing of all time. It was the apex of the late Whitney Houston's singing career. Quite a bit of the movie was filmed at Falling Leaf on the shore of Lake Tahoe, NV/CA (the lake bounds both California - up hill from Sacramento and Nevada - up hill from Reno), which is nothing if not a picturesque backdrop to film a love story.

Though both Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston were slapped by critics for less than sterling acting, the film was a huge commercial success.
