Time for Change?

Sometimes the race card gets a little old and tedious. There are a lot of people in the US who make a princely income by race-baiting and by living through incendiary speech and through vitriolic hatred. Most of these people are not white, but are members of so-called minority pressure groups. These are the same people who were hugely disappointed when a mixed-race man became President of the United States because it made a lot of their bluster look foolish.

The reality in America is that poor people don't pay much. The poorest 50% of Americans pay no income tax at all.

There needs to be a fair form of taxation that doesn't punish job creators and doesn't blunt success with unfair taxes. Sadly, one look at Hong Kong's flat tax would suggest that the Godless Communists have come up with a more equitable way to assess taxation responsibility.

It's not about race. It's about rational responsible apportionment of the duty of people to pay SOMETHING  to contribute to the nation. However, it seems to always default to race - to the argument that being non-white should entitle you to a free ride on the backs of others. This lead to the welfare state that we find ourselves saddled with where politicians buy votes from one group with money from another. AND have a vested interest in keeping poor people poor.

In other news, Octomom filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy today. Several days after paying 600 dollars to get her hair done. And a week or so after filing for food stamps.

The poor we will always have with us. Some more than others.

My mom always told me that as a child, "Its not about Race..."

Our chosen leaders who evolved the current system, our INCAPABLE of creating a system where the people who make money off of the government start to pay their "fair" share.

What about Socialism LL? Your thoughts?

I can't help feeling though that if everyone got rid of the chips they carry on their shoulders and took responsibility of their lives and their families, the world would be a better place.

I think the US population should take a look at the socialist (Greece) vs capitalist (Germany) nations and rethink where we are going...

Funny, how 49% do not seem to pay taxes (actually WE DO, some of it just comes back, without interest for the 'loan' to Uncle Sam) and yet we also control LESS THAN 8% of the wealth of this nation.33% effective 17% after returns. Does that add up to much? NO, but that's another matter.
I used to make 6-figures, and never saw a dime back from the 33%.
I'm unemployed and my real rate is
The 11% 'middle class'; those making between $250,000 and $1 million are paying a little under 28% of their income in revenue.
The Millionaires? They pay 17% OR LESS, OFTEN ZERO-$$ (RMoney, if it's 'deferred' IT AIN'T PAID).
Those same millionaires and above CONTROL 80% of the wealth of the nation. If they paid the same rate I do, even AFTER my rebates, then there would be no need for Sequester, Furloughs, rotten bridges, pothole filled streets, and children starving in run down schools.
