My daughter, Emilie posted this today. You can see that I've had gray hair for quite a while now. Tossing the kids on my shoulders was always one of my favorite ways to haul them from point A to point B. In the photo below, I had just returned from the First Gulf War and was wearing a SEAL t-shirt. A thirty pound girl was nothing to a 105 lbs load out.
As tough as other things are, nothing is as important as being a parent and setting the best example that I could. Nobody is perfect, but the kids always treated me as though I was.

VERY. ADORABLE.
you're a good dad! And how wonderful to have kids that recognize it.
Emile's Dad ain't a bad sort.
That is one of the two major accomplishment in my life, one is I quit smoking 22 years ago cold turkey, but the most importnat is I believe I was a good dad. I trided to be and I have an awesome daughter to prove it (though my starter-wife did have a hand in it, too.) So be proud of the dad you are. Your kids reflect that honor.
The only way you'll know if you're a good dad is if your kids think so. All other opinions are irrelevant.
Love Emilie's post. Yours know.
Wow, this is so sweet and your daughters all admire you... so thoughtful of Emilie to put this together for you and it speaks volumes.
Want to adopt a brat? I've decided to put myself up for adoption. lol
