For those of you who don't know, Old Sparky is an electric chair used to execute criminals in the State of Florida. Since I am pro-death penalty, you can imagine that I agreed with Presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) and his approach to the solution Texas pursues.

I have a t-shirt with a picture of Old Sparky and the caption "Justice: Regular or Extra Crispy?"
I am fond of that shirt
Innominatus - you're a man after my own heart.
Bring Old Sparky to Edmonton for a while please, our homicide rate is atrocious!
I just googled this and it's nothing to be proud of by no means...
"Edmonton now leads the nation in homicides, ahead of Toronto's 26, Winnipeg's 23 and well ahead of nearby Calgary's three."
This was as of Aug. 1 and we were at 33, small compared to some large cities but a huge number for our quiet little city. I bet these numbers would change if we brought back the death penalty instead of slapping murders hands, feeding them 3 squares a day, paying them to work, giving them televisions, etc. The prisoners have more luxuries than a lot of senior citizens do. Something is so wrong here.
The best thing for the death penalty - is to adverstise it...I mean in the press, not in commercials.
Darlin, and I imagine your leaders only want to control guns to leave the honest citizenry unarmed. Ignoring the facts that armed citizens lower the crime rate.
I pray that all good people enjoy the blessings of liberty. It can't come soon enough.
Darlin, an armed society is a polite society. History and research on states with high incidence of homicides vs those with low incidence bears this out.
Opus, Liberty is a treasure.
Race, The mainstream media doesn't like the death penalty. But I suspect that Texans do.
Innominatus has a nice shirt.
I'm pro death-penalty too...Lord knows we need it here in SA!
