Permit Cost: $1,500 to film in a National Park. No, it's not a hoax. The nation pays taxes to maintain the parks. National parks belong to the people, not to those wealthy enough to pay $1,500 to film in them. What are these people thinking?

I don't get it. It's not as if we don't pay a bundle in taxes.
That really is outrageous.
Can't help but consider how incredulous someone like Ansel Adams would have been to hear this.
Does this include video of the wife and kids, etc. - or only commercial movies?
I think it includes the wife and kids standing on a rock. These days with digital video, it is tough to tell the difference.
