The Little Admiral

Amanda and Griffin

I have often called Griffin, "the Little Admiral" because I'd like to see him become a naval officer as part of his career track to greatness. He also may choose a career in the US Intelligence Community once his hitch in the navy is over. My daughter, Amanda, took a big step with Griffin today by taking him onboard a small day cruiser in San Diego harbor. Griffin loves the smell of the sea, the seals, the SEALs, the sea birds and the environment.

It was just around the harbor near the naval base and coronado. He did have a great time:) But I think he likes airplanes more than boats right now:)

Amanda, there is no shame to a career as a naval aviator. I see him now, coming in for a landing at night on a pitching deck, 'calling the ball' and trapping the #3 wire...

He likes it when I "fly him" around the family room, strafing everyone, so yeah, I'm sure he'll work out fine.

He's adorable :) I can actually picture that little face all grown up and in the Navy. I'm sure he'll be successful in whatever he decides to pursue.

I'm smiling, Griffin is the cutest of the cute! He's so adorable and what an intelligent looking lad. I can see this young man wanting to follow in his Grandfathers footsteps, but it appears there's some mighty big footsteps to fill.
