The southern portion of the Island of St. Lucie is more rural than the northern section primarily because of the rain forrest and the volcano (cue Jimmy Buffet)
The coast of the entire island is a series of volcanic peaks and bays as illustrated below:
Island life is languid and there is really no hurry to do -- anything. In fact, doing absolutely nothing is the stock in trade for people looking to escape the rush and hassle of industrial cities.

Wow! It's so beautiful there and the Jimmy Buffet song is so appropriate. I wonder how old Jimmy was, he looks pretty young and healthy in this video.
Darlin - I don't know where I'm going to go when the Volcano blows...
Jimmy is indeed young in the video. He's had a fun life.
LL check with the locals would be my suggestion! lol
Are you Grandpa again yet?
You could start your own postcard service.
Opus - I wonder how many postcards I'd have to sell to afford to stay?
Looks like a great place to visit, and then leave before the hurricane season starts.
Yeah, I could own an island like that. FYI, it only takes selling 1,254,658,432 postcards before you can afford one of those.
LL, there you go, ONLY 1,254,658,432 postcards, no problem. You can do it LL, one postcard at a time or maybe if you sell them in lots of 1000 you'd get there quicker. ;-)
Eurpides, LOL! How did you come up with that number or do I really want to know?
Darlin: 1,254,658,432 postcards will only get you a small Caribbean island. Grenada costs significantly more. And that number also excludes cost of goods.
Euripides and how much does each card have to sell for? We might have to give LL a hand here, he might build a few guest houses for us if we do. ;-)
