Synopsis: The movie centers on an obsessive British Interpol agent who spearheads an investigation into one of the world's most high-profile and powerful banking institutions in an attempt to expose them for worldwide arms brokering, corruption and murder.
Comments: Two thumbs up (recommended)
The plot was loosely based on the the events surrounding the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI). In the movie I think they call it the IBBC, International Bank of Business and Credit. Friends of mine participated in the real-life BCCI investigation. BCCI was founded in Pakistan and registered in Luxembourg and was in the top ten largest banks in the world. It was indicted in the UK and US for arms trafficking, sale of nuclear technology, money laundering and attracted the world's biggest crooks the way honey draws flies.
In addition to a solid plot, good acting and great scenery, I enjoyed seeing sites in Milan and Lyon that I'm familiar with.
