Passing of Heroes

Apollo played a golden lyre, and rode a chariot of fire across the sky each day to give life to the land beneath. He shot a silver bow and his arrows flew true and swiftly in defense of truth. It was Apollo who taught men medicine.

It's strange how our heroes have changed over time. Today it's the man who can dunk a basketball most efficiently or a confused IV drug using actor who can do naught but recite the words written by another, edited heavily and blanketed by special effects. Or a rap artist who has few social graces, known for his disdain for women - portrayed as "whores and bitches".
