I know it seems somehow beyond belief.
Senate Bill 787 will change federal jurisdiction over "navigable water" to give the federal government control over all water everywhere in municipal reservoirs, on private land and in private wells. This bill ignores state water law authority and the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution.

Only moments ago I posted the below to a friend in the Wash. D.C. area, about this same subject.
'The move to Socialization and government control of everything is ongoing. Why is it that governments can't help but urge toward the totalitarian?'
We're headed toward a police state. And we're not walking, we're running.
It's a pity that there's no new frontier to move to.
Antarctica is just too darned cold.
And we live on the only habitable planet in the solar system.
Police State. Yeah, just my luck. When I've retired from the police. How sad, I think I would have looked fabulous in high topped, shiny black boots and a riding crop.
Would this include your swimming pool?
Is this for real? I can't even fathom a government taking such measures, mind you IF the US passes this bill, will Canada be the next to follow?
When you read the bill, yes, it would apply to swimming pools on private property. Most Americans want LESS government, not more.
The government needs to take its snout out of people's private lives to the extent possible.
