Crustacean

It's my second-oldest girl's birthday party tonight. She waived all gifts in lieu of dinner at Crustacean (Beverly Hills), her favorite place to dine.
Crustacean is not for the tight of wallet, but it's a fantastic place to get a great, unique meal. My kids are picky eaters but they are not picky here. It's located at the corner of Rodeo Drive and Little Santa Monica Boulevard. (9646 Little Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills) The kids like the Maine Lobster. Who can blame them? You can't get a bad meal no matter what you order from the menu at Crustacean. (plan on about $100 per person - without alcohol)

Yummy! When I lived in Sf, I used to go to Thanh Long - the original owners of Crustacean. It was a hole in the wall (still is) but had a line out the door always. I have never gotten anything but the crab and garlic noodles. Now I am craving that.

The crab and garlic Noodles are the signature dish and they are without peer.

However, I have had a number of their other creations and they are superb. The deserts are great too. You have to leave room when ordering to try a bit of this and that. Better if you are willing to share a bite or two of what you order with the other diners in your party.

How was dinner?

Judy has heard of this restaurant. If I'm lucky we'll not get to the coast, or she'll want to go.

WoFat, you'd like Crustacean because it's owned by a family of Vietnamese people who have managed a fusion of traditional Vietnamese (sorta French Chinese and Indian) and Western to make a delightful place to eat.
