Cowboys and Indians

When I was a kid growing up, the event of the evening was one of the westerns they showed on television.

My kids liked going for a "horsey ride" on my knee mainly because I remember most of the theme songs. One of the painful things about having a photographic memory is that all this stuff still bounces around inside my skull...  ;^)

Rawhide (Clint Eastwood)
Maverick (Roger Moore, James Garner, Jack Kelly)
Cheyenne (Clint Walker)
Have Gun Will Travel (Richard Boone)
Branded & The Rifleman (Chuck Connors)
Wyatt Earp (Hugh O'Brian)
Johnny Yuma (Mark Damon)
Tombstone Territory (Pat Conway)
The Lone Ranger (Clayton Moore & Jay Silverheels)
Zorro (Guy Williams)
and later -- The Wild, Wild West (Robert Conrad and Ross Martin)

So, here's to you, my high riding heroes. Gone but not completely forgotten.

I'm all about James West.

These were MEN. We don't see people like this anymore. They were superhuman. They could make a six-shooter fire over twenty times without reloading. I've tried that trick but never mastered it - pathetic looser that I am.
