When I woke up this morning I finished some work on consulting, made calls to a potential investor for Ashima Devices, Inc., my high-tech start up company, and did some e-mailing. I called a sick friend who was having a bad day so I didn't drive over for a visit. I'll do it next week.
With time on my hands and the new STAR TREK movie out, I got some lunch and drove to the local theater. I'm a Trekkie - I love Star Trek, so you can filter my movie review, but I give it five stars of a possible five stars! aaaaa
The movie was a bold new approach, headed for another franchise of going where no one has gone before! Then I came home and Emilie (17), done with school work suggested that I take a swim. You can see Emilie laying on a lounge poolside. If you look at the jacuzzi, it has rocks around the top. There are fossils in some of the rocks.
I'm white as a Canadian (so says Emilie) and because of that unfortunate situation, I didn't stay out long enough to get burned.
If it was a PERFECT day, my grandson Griffin (pictured below, held by Emilie) would have come over for a swim or a dip in the jacuzzi. But Griffin didn't come over :^(

Pretty yard. Looks like a getaway location. Lovely children. I predict you will see all of them on Sunday, at the very least.
Cute picture of Griffin and Emilie...
You got cute kids; all of them.
We went to Lucille's for dinner.
Sounds like a very lovely day. Both productive and fun. Beautiful back yard. Griffin is a cutie.
You are one blessed man to be surrounded by such beauty! Your daughter is georgeous and what a little cutie your grandson is!
I have a question for you, how white is a Canadian? Oops, I have another question for you, do you have a spare room for rent? I could handle spending my summer in your backyard, hey I don't need a room, just permission to pitch a tent. I almost forgot I'm a Canadian for a second there!
Canadians never see the sun - so when they come to Southern California and go down to the beach in their skimpy swim suits, they are so dazzling and almost translucent white that we need a deeper tint of sunglasses to deal with the reflection.
The area pool-side is designed to give the feeling of being in the tropics - in Hawaii or Polynesia. Wind chimes imitate the "temple bells" and the balmy breeze of the endless summer that is SoCal provides the rest.
Being a Canadian, bring an industrial size container of sun block!
I am not your typical "White Canadian" LL, I do have a hint of native blood running through my veins and I do not burn as easily as some Canadians might. I was thinking about two bottles of sunscreen should do me for a few months!
Felicitation pour ce blog trés réussi !... De belles images et de bons articles ! ... A Bientot
