I predict that it will be popular. Though intended for mature audiences, the men will think to themselves - if worse comes to worst, maybe I can do THAT for a living. (have torrid sex with hot women who pay you for the experience) Women will think to themselves -- I have a few extra bucks in the cookie jar.
HBO's series (among which are ROME and The Sopranos) do not reflect the better angels of human nature - not since Band of Brothers anyway.
And before Hung comes on, you can watch the second season of True Blood. Which answers the question, "where can a small town Louisiana girl find love?"
Worst case it will take your mind of the Obamatrauma.

Opus: What do you do without vignettes of:
Vampires,
Mobsters,
Male Prostitutes
Roman Orgies and bloodbaths
and so forth...
dancing across your plasma screen?
I really couldn't say.
We haven't had HBO in years. We stopped all of the "premium" channels because they were a waste of time.
I actually don't like the True Blood series very much. I LOVE the books but am not feeling the TV show as much.
I am TIVOing Hung. Looking forward to a new HBO series I actually like.
Note to self:
Julia likes HUNG.
Got it!
I wish I had HBO...though Showtime has some good series also. When I come down on Thursday, I will have to come over and watch the last episode of true blood!
I refuse to have HBO in my home, which is to my wife's displeasure. However, she has gotten True Blood on DVD,which I watched one episode. To say the least,it was the last.
LL - I thought the show was OK so far. I'm not sure if was hooked enough to watch the whole season. It reminds me a bit of Californication (I watched most of the first season and then got bored).
