I know it must sound silly to you blog readers, but there was a time when I thought there was such a thing as "journalistic integrity". The media more or less policed itself and being a reporter was almost a "calling". Today I find almost NO integrity in journalism and the state-run-media of the present lacks all credibility.
I'm waiting for the State-Run-Media to air this mantra:
WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
and then Fox News will be a permanent test pattern.

I remember, as a sports writer for the Daily Bruin newspaper, back in the mid 80's, I was admonished severely not to even appear to cheer for our team, UCLA, from the news booth, or anywhere in the stadium. I was to appear totally neutral.
Nowadays, reporters don't even try to keep up the facade.
The dictates from the White House begin to sound more and more Hitler like. Some commenter on another blog thought I was a traitor for saying that a sitting president reminded me of Hitler. That's okay. Even Nazi hermaphroditic commie pinko laser sluts have Freedom of Speech - which some people are trying real hard to take away.
The oathkeepers have it right. The oath is to the constitution of the United States. Not to any one politician. You are allowed to say any opinion at all about any American politician. And defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
But of course, try not to be a danger to self or others. :-)

I love liberal hypocrasy! They compared Bush to Adolf all the time. Now, suddenly, voicing dissent is the act of a traitor! For the past 8 years, it was the noblest, most patriotic thing one could do. Now that our prez is a Socailist, it's treason!
