What's a few $$ Trillion $$ ?

I never thought I'd see Democrats wince at spending a trillion dollars or two for shits and giggles whether or not the country was in financial trouble. CLICK HERE to read the latest on the health care mess the US Government is preparing to pull down on us (or maybe not?). The Congressional Budget Office reports that the new health care plan will cost $1.6 trillion and leave millions of Americans without health care. Based on past experience, you can take the projection from the CBO and double it for the real-life number. Am I the only one who is shocked by a potential $3+ trillion dollar price tag on universal health care at a time when we are financially unstable and the "financial recovery" is still projected at over a year away - best case?

Socialism doesn't work to spite the best wishes and desires of liberals. Think of it. If everyone who voted for Obama paid for health insurance for only one family without healthcare, the problem would be solved and they'd have the joy of having lifted up somebody. I like that solution. It's the sort of solution the socialists would never consider.

The nurse pic is good.

The dems will pay the ultimate price in the end. They can't go on spending this way forever.

Okay, why don't my nurses look anything like that,if so I might go to the doctors office more often.

No,mine look like something out of a bad German or Soviet movie from the 40's.

Anyhow, the socialize single payer crap is going to destroy this country much like it did England and Canada. And if Dear Leader says otherwise, they he is lying out of his teeth, which is quid pro qoe for liberals.

Cooler heads assured me, around election time, that nobody in his right mind would push through socialized healthcare when the economy was in the dumps. So no worries on that for 2 years. How wrong! Just shows you how true socialist/communists will not let anything get in the way of their agenda. Not even what is best for the country.

The "details" of the bill have been left out, to be worked out after it has passed. In that I can't help but recall the stimulus package that wasn't intended to stimulate the economy.

There is a movement afoot to destroy the economy at all costs, and we're watching it unfold. If the news feed today is any indication, even some of the Demokratik Party faithful are having second thoughts about spending/borrowing $1.6 trillion and the impact that will have on unemployment as the smaller employers go out of business for want of funds to pay health care for all.

The unemployed will have free, unlimited health care, but no jobs. Not much of a trade off and it won't look good when the Demokrats are running for office next time around.

This is just insane. A trillion here, a trillion there. Pretty soon it starts adding up to real money. What I absolutely abhor is the open ended agreement. That worked out so well bailing out the banks under Bush....

You'd think that being a very common man himself, the President would have the interests of the common man at heart. But that's clearly not the case.

Obama easily joined the elite many years ago in salary and political backing. I don't believe the Obama as common man public figure.
