Our own fellow blogger, WoFat is in the hospital today. He was in the hospital yesterday as well. Since it's over one day in custody, I'm going to post this virtual teddy bear. If he's in much longer, I'll box up some bears and send them to fill the ward. I spoke to him on the phone and he's waiting for test results & hopes to get walking papers this very day.
The doctors claim it's a cardiac issue. I explained that they must be wrong since most of us who know him maintain that he has no heart.
There was a situation a couple of years ago where the local doctors thought he had a heart attack, again, claiming that he in fact had a heart, albeit 6 sizes too small and they implanted a mechanical heart thing (pace maker).
I'm sure we'll receive a report from him when they release him from medical custody.
I am indeed back with my wife and the dogs, and glad to be here. I was taken into the medical fold because my PaceMaker went off and knocked me down. Hopefully the new pills - the doctors much prefer to call them"medication" - will work and I won't get the lightning bolt again. Not the same one as covered in "The Godfather."
I think the teddy bear pic is neat. I have lots of teddy bears.
This blog has many elements and depending on your interests, may pique your imagination...or not. I urge you to be unreasonable. Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. The unreasonable persist in trying to adapt the world to themselves, therefore all progress depends on unreasonable people. The more unreasonable you are, the more likely you are to enjoy this blog. All men dream, but not equally.
If you're a socialist or a Marxist, you'll find that I poke fun at your absurd notions of "good government" on a regular basis. So you might not wish to follow this blog because you'll be offended.
John Locke said, "One unerring mark of the love of truth is not entertaining any proposition with greater assurance than the proofs it is built upon will warrant." I like what Locke said. We can't theorize without adequate information because when we do we inevitably twist facts to suit theories rather than theories to suit facts. In this blog and in my life, I try to maintain this perspective.
Either you believe in our essential spark of shared divinity, or you succumb to our human insecurity. Either way your conscience lets you slice it, the main thing is to earnestly do what is right at the time.
Today, I balance work and play as much as anyone can. All things remaining equal, play is more important. Life is short - it's important to make every day count for something, if only to yourself.
I'm a former tinker/tailor/soldier/sailor who has now decided that maybe it really wasn't all done for nothing.

What's wrong with him?
Ack! I assume that "waiting for test results" means that we are not yet sure what is wrong? I am praying for his health.

WoFat is still locked in the hospital - potentially the mental ward (my speculation only) even though he claims to be in the cardiac ward.
WoFat is home.
He has new pills.
They will keep him alive.
